1.8 Fenntarthatósági szempontok

Ma már sokan értik a fenntartható fejlődés és a környezetvédelem fontosságát, és akarnak is tenni valamit mindezért. Az oktatási-kutatási hálózatok, amelyek missziója az, hogy úttörő szerepet vállaljanak az új technológiák és alkalmazások kifejlesztésében és bevezetésében, természetesen a környezetbarát megoldások tekintetében is példát mutathatnak. Többek között ennek támogatását tűzte ki a nagy európai kutatóhálózati együttműködést megvalósító GÉANT projekt-sorozat, amely már második fázisától kezdve (GN2) foglalkozik - a GN3, GN3plus és GN4 szakaszokban egyre erőteljesebb mértékben - a kérdéssel. Az előadás bemutatja az ezen a területen elért elért eredményeket.

Environment aware NRENs - green GÉANT

These days more and more people understand the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development and wish to support it on their field. The mission of the research and education networks is to lead the way in the development and deployment of novel technologies and applications, but they can also be an example when using environment aware solutions. Among many others, this is one of the goals of the GÉANT project series - the framework of the cooperation between the Europen NRENs. From the second phase of the project (GN2) through GN3, GN3plus and GN4, it dedicates more and more effort to the "Green GÉANT" activity. The presentation gives an introduction to the results and the findings of the project.
