3.4 Elektronikus könyvtárak, kiállítások, portálok, repozitóriumok

A Corvinus Economics Working Papers című műhelytanulmány-sorozatot 2014 tavaszán indította a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem Közgazdaságtudományi Kara. Az indulásnál igényként merült fel hogy a kari honlap mellett a műhelytanulmányok megjelenjenek a Corvinus Kutatások intézményi és a RePEc tudományterületi repozitóriumban. Utóbbi a közgazdaságtudomány területén a világ legnagyobb online gyűjteménye. A műhelytanulmány-sorozat egyik célja éppen az intézmény RePEc-ben látható eredményeinek javítása.

Az intézményi repozitóriumban való elhelyezés után a RePEc-cel való közvetlen technikai kapcsolat kialakítása volt a feladat. Ehhez az általuk megadott technikai specifikáció szerint kellett kialakítani a saját szerverünkön egy rdf struktúrát, amelyen keresztül napi frissítéssel az adatok átadása történik.

A sikeres tesztek után még egy hiányosság merült fel. A RePEc-ben fontos szerep jut a JEL kódrendszernek (speciális közgazdaságtudományi jelzet és tárgyszórendszer). Ezért a Corvinus Kutatások repozitóriumba is integrálnunk kellett ezt. Az integrációnál fontos volt, hogy a nem lecserélni vagy kiegészíteni akartuk a már meglévő tárgyszórendszerünket. Ezzel összhangban csak a párhuzamos tárgyszórendszerként való integráció jöhetett számításba.

Ezek után már csak az általunk adott exportban kellett kicserélni a subject mező tartalmát a JEL kódokra. Így a RePEc-ben az eredeti tárgyszavak nem, csak a JEL kódok láthatóak.

A projekt mellékszálaként sikerült a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem RePEc-beli jelenlétét is optimalizálni.

In international waters. The Corvinus Economics Working Papers series in the RePEc

The Corvinus Economics Working Papers was launched in 2014 by the Faculty of Economics of Corvinus University of Budapest. There was a special request in the beginning to make the series available on the faculty's homepage, in the institutional repository of the university 'Corvinus Research' and in the 'RePEc' international discpilinary repository, too. RePEc is worldwide the largest online collection of publications in the field of economics. One objective of this working papers series was to improve the visibility of the scientific output of the university in RePEc.

After placing the working papers in the institutional repository, we had to create a direct technical connection towards RePEC. In order to get this, we had to configure an rdf structure on our own server according to the technical specification defined by them, through which the transfer of data is working daily.

After a successful testing period only one problem emerged. The JEL codes (a special thesaurus in the field of economics) have an important role in RePEc, therefore we had to integrate them into the Corvinus Research repository, too, as a parallel keyword system. After that, we only had to replace the original content of the subject fields to the JEL codes within the export process. According to this, the original subject words are not visible in RePEc, only the JEL codes.

As a secondary result of this project, we also managed to improve the presence of Corvinus University in the collection of RePEC.
