3.4 Elektronikus könyvtárak, kiállítások, portálok, repozitóriumok

Az Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem Digitális Intézményi Tudástára (EDIT) az egyetemen létrehozott dokumentumok tárhelye, archívuma. Előadásom összefoglalja az EDIT létrehozásának céljait, felhasználási lehetőségeit, a tárolni és közreadni kívánt dokumentumok körét, az adattár építésével kapcsolatos tapasztalatainkat. Egy repozitóriumot létrehozni nem tűnik nehéz feladatnak, feltéve, ha megelégszünk a választott szoftver alap tulajdonságaival, funkcióival. Az ELTE szervezeti felépítése és nagysága miatt több problémába ütköztünk, melyeket igyekeztünk megoldani. A választott keretrendszert, a DSpace szoftvert a repozitórium kialakításánál jelentkező egyedi igényeinknek megfelelően alakítottuk, fejlesztettük. Az EDIT-et tartalommal feltölteni nehezebb feladatnak bizonyult. Az előadásban ismertetem a tartalomgyűjtés nehézségeit, törekvéseinket, az eddig elért sikereinket. A gyűjtemények részletes bemutatása során képet kapunk a gyarapodás mértékéről, az egyes egységek növekedésének gyorsaságáról vagy épp lassúságáról, a szabályzati háttér kialakításának folyamatáról, buktatóiról. Kitérek az EDIT fogadtatására, népszerűsítésének folyamatára, illetve eszközeire.

Constructing EDIT – the ELTE Digital Institutional Repository

The Eötvös Loránd University's Digital Institutional Repository (EDIT) is the storage of documents and archives.

The presentation summarizes the goals of creating EDIT, the possible uses, the range of documents that we wish to store and publish, and our experience of building the repository.

Constructing a repository does not appear as a difficult project, if we settle for the chosen software basic properties. Due to the structure and size of Eötvös Loránd University, we encountered several problems that we had to solve. In order to satisfy our users’ unique needs, the chosen software, the DSpace was continuously developed.

Content upload in the repository proved to be a more difficult project. In this presentation, I outline the difficulties of collecting content, our aspiration, and our success achieved so far. In the presentation of the collections, I describe the rate of growth, the growth speed or slowness. I also focus on the regulatory background formation process and its pitfalls. Lastly, I briefly talk about the reception of the repository, the promotion of the process, and the tools used in the process.
